Pick of the Week

This week's pic of the week is by our good friend Mr. Steve Madden. The "ROCSTAR" bootie is about 4.5 inches tall!!! The taller the better in my book! :) ....These booties allow you to step out of your comfort zone. The super high wedge will have your feet in a little less pain in comparison to a pair of 4.5 platform booties. These booties are a STATEMENT and when you wear them people will stop and stare. Pair these booties with some tan pants a jean jacket and a nice black handbag. With a pair of shoes like this, too much is really too much! Don't over accessorize! Some eyeliner and red lips will help emphasize the rocstar look. The booties are $250 and only made in black. Have fun with it!

CARGO PANTS

My new obsession is CARGO PANTS. Last season when they made their debut, I didn't care for them too much. However, cargo pants are beginning to look more and more feminine. I hate to see women in baggy cargo pants unless their about to film a Ciara video. Cargo pants have come a long way. They are available in slim styles, wide leg, cigarette straight and plenty more funky styles. You can wear cargos with leopard or zebra print shoes or booties and a dope top with a jean jacket, throw on some red lipstick and some Amber Rose shades and do the damn thing.

Pick of the Week

These are the funkiest wedges I have ever laid eyes on. They are so edgy and trendy. Aldo has really modernized the "wedge " with these heels. I love that these shoes dress themselves up. No need to kill yourself trying to find a busy t-shirt to match these shoes. Instead, wear a black or white tank top and some oversized cuffed jean destroyed jeans to match these shoes' fly. The canvas material makes the shoe pattern POP! The high top wedge and the low top wedge are simplistically beautiful. The shoes are the best way to set off your summer. Visit Aldo's for these retro chic wedges.

Painless Platforms

If you know anything about me, you'll know that I LOVESSS my heels. The reason I love my heels so much is because I've discovered a trick to make wearing 'em a little more ummm...can I say pleasant? Yes, PLEASANT it is!!! High heels aren't always comfortable and they destroy the look of your feet after years of wear and tear but, PLATFORM heels can help take some of that pain away. PlATFORMS, are my secret to painless shoes! The platform takes most of the stress away from the balls of my feet and allow the pressure from my weight to be placed on the P L A T F O R M !!! Not only are platform heels magical, but they are easier to walk in. There is nothing worse than a sexy woman walking like a duck in her heels because her feet went numb from the pain of PLATFROMless heels *crosses leg, files nail, and gives the "I told you" look*. LOL!!! Women were created to be sexy because we are, of course WOMEN! Experiment with some platforms on your next trip to Steve Madden and you'll discover that Alima ain't never told you wrong.

Pick of the Week

These shoes are what I like to call "simplistic beauty". I love plain nude shoes, because they make your legs look ten miles long, but the two-toned colors really make the shoe pop. These platformed black heeled shoes are so tasteful. These pumps will look AMAZING with an all black cat suit. The black heel will make almost any outfit come alive. I love how Steve Madden put a twist on a regular pair of patent leather nude pumps. These shoes can be yours for a little under $100. That's what I call fashion on a budget! The style is named "BEVV-B" and is manufactured by Steve Madden. Although you can get the more expensive version of these shoes by Brian Atwood for $700 you can still serve in the BEVV-B'...either way these shoes sell themselves.

Pick of the Week

These pumps are by Jessica Simpson. This style is called the "Colie". I love these because they are trendy and the stripped print fits right in with this upcoming Spring's look. I especially find the faded stripes simply GORJ! The wooden bottom is also a plus. These shoes give you a retro 80's look with a modern twist. These shoes will look amazing with a nude tube top form fitting dress. Or, a brown pencil skirt paired with a cap sleeve turtleneck top and wooden bangles. Get the "Colie" for $98 at Zappos.com. You can never go wrong with affordable fashion. Enjoy.
