Wide-Legged, See Thru's, Stripes and More...

The 50's, 60's and 70's are back with a vengeance. Sheer, see thru dresses, prints, leather, stripes, bell bottoms, flared and wide-legged pants are back.

I am going to celebrate all three eras by embracing prints like I've never done before. I recently mixed leopard and stripes together. What did I come up with you ask? Fashion MAGIC! The colors complimented each other perfectly. However, stripes are to be worn to make it so that they are the main attraction of the entire outfit. In other words, if you are wearing stripes, everything else should basically carry the stripes, so to speak. Kind of like Beyonce in the "Single Ladies" video. Her two dancers were amazing but Beyonce was the main attraction of the video. Stripes worn during the Spring and Summer should be in bold prints. They should also be paired with jeans or pants that aren't too dominte.

My next favorites are high-waist pants. I live for some stomach synching high-waist pants. The purpose for these pants are simply to compliment the waist. If they give your body a short stumpy look you many have on the wrong pair. Skinny high-waist pants, typically of a natural, tannish color compliment taller women. Wide-legged (but not too wide-legged) pants of almost any color are best fitted on shorter women.

I've also fallen in love all over agin with the "MAXI DRESS". With the classy funky prints allowed this Spring and Summer, maxi dresses can easily be our new favorite thing. Ladies, if you've encountered bad experiences with the MAXi dress, try a solid color paired with a printed cropped jacket. For the slimmer figures, the lace or satin maxi dresses will elongate the body and add that flowy, sultry look.
